Arts and Craft Competitions
The Arts and Craft Competition invites participants of all ages to showcase their creativity and skills. This event features a wide range of handmade items, from textiles and pottery to woodworking and jewellery.
What will spectators see?
It’s a great chance to explore the creativity of our community and even get inspired for your own projects. Spectators can expect a colourful display of various throws, cards, diamond dot painting, sewing and more in the James Lawrence Pavilion.
How is Arts and Crafts judged?
Each category has specific requirements that competitors must follow. For example, in embroidery, judges differentiate between hand-stitched and machine-done work. Judges also consider the originality of the designs and the effort put into each piece, ensuring that all entries meet the outlined criteria.
