D’Aguilar Wildlife Hide and Sea Interactive Display
‘Hide and Sea – A Real Aquatic Adventure’ is the largest and most interactive, mobile marine display in Australia, featuring a number of aquatic and semi-aquatic marine animals for guests to interact with in a touch-tank style experience. Guests can see and interact with unique animals such as Sea Stars, Urchins, Cowries, Strombs and Crabs. This activation will also include a kids' activity station.
Petting Zoo
Visit the Eden Bann Cuties Petting Zoo for opportunities to feed, pat, and learn about a variety of farm animals.
Climate Action List for the Regional Student
About the Session
Sophie George and Matilda Widdowson from Capricorn Conservation Council (CCC), along with their Youth Ambassador, are joining our Kids Program this year to discuss climate change in CQ. They will be running two sessions in our Kids program on Friday 13th June – sharing a simple climate action checklist and then supporting students to create a sustainable climate action focussed poster to take back and display in their own school or home.

Rockhampton Regional Waste and Recycling (RRWR) is a commercial business unit of Rockhampton Regional Council and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of waste management facilities and kerbside wheelie bin collection services throughout the Rockhampton Region.

Learn about one of Australia's problematic invasive animal species the cane toad. Special guest and Environmental Scientist Bethlea Bell will share about the destruction cane toads have made to our environment, and how we can help humanely in our own back yards.
Plus, learn about a cuddly domestic pet wreaking havoc while we sleep.
About the Presenter
Bethlea Bell is an Environmental Scientist with a background in Education. She has worked to conserve frogs and reduce the prevalence and impact of the invasive cane toad for several decades. Bethlea is also involved in citizen science initiatives that support both the community and researchers to identify amphibians and document their range throughout our nation.

Join avid bee keeper, Lloyd Younger, as he demonstrates the necessity for protecting all native bees. Learn more about the different types of bees, their involvement in growing our flowers, trees, and crops, and how we can support them in our own backyards. Lloyd will demonstrate how to make a solitary stingless bee hotel at home.

Lloyd Younger chairs the Rockhampton branch of the Australian Native Bee Association (ANBA).
