Agricultural Education

Not every Australian grows up on a farm, but we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the hands-on learning that comes with caring for animals, nurturing the environment, and growing their own food.

Taking advantage of our Agricultural Education program is a fantastic opportunity to bring your students and family to the Show. Experience agricultural education in workshops, performances and presentations, all with a fun, interactive atmosphere.

As the Beef Capital and the centre of the region’s rich farming and grazing lands, the Rocky Show plays an important role in helping every attendee understand the importance of our agricultural sector.

What can you expect from the Agricultural Education program?

The 2025 Agricultural Education program attracted a large and enthusiastic audience who had the opportunity to learn, engage, and interact with passionate presenters showcasing their work and promoting their agricultural businesses.

On the Friday of the show, curriculum-based sessions were held specifically for school students. These sessions featured hands-on activities such as building bee hotels and creating worm farms. Cultural education was also a highlight, session focused on Caring for Country and an interactive marine display. Designed to be both educational and entertaining, the student-focused program offered a rich and engaging learning experience.
