Pest Management

Pest plant Lantana

Presented by Rockhampton Regional Council

Pest Management

Explore the world of biosecurity, where we invite you to embrace your role in protecting Australia's precious ecosystems.

Invasive plants and animals exist in every local government area, costing Queensland more than $710 million every year in lost production and control costs. Invasive plants and animals also cause degradation of natural resources including vegetation, and pose a threat to biodiversity values, human health and recreational activities.

Rockhampton Regional Council's Pest Management Officers are responsible for controlling invasive animals on public land. They can also provide advice to landowners on how to control invasive animals on private land.

By joining the effort, you can help protect industries, the environment, and way of life. Discover how you can contribute while exploring the support provided by local council.
