The countdown to the 2024 Rockhampton Agricultural Show has begun, and Rockhampton Regional Council is once again reaching out to the community for their invaluable support as volunteers.

The Rockhampton Agricultural Show is not just an event; it's a cherished tradition that brings the community together. As we gear up for another unforgettable year, we are calling on individuals from all walks of life to join us in making it happen.

ROLE DESCRIPTIONS

The Rockhampton Agricultural Show has roles available across all three days of the event including: Volunteer positions normally include: 

EVENT SET-UP TEAM

Do you want to see what goes on behind the scenes and assist setting up the Rocky Show? This role is for those who have good manual handling skills for movement of stock, chairs, tables and set up of event equipment as required in the Competition spaces.

You must be available the week before the event and have the ability to:

  • Follow instructions
  • Maintain a high standard of workplace safety
  • Complete tasks on time

 

GUEST SERVICES

Welcome and assist attendees, providing information and ensuring a positive experience for all.

 

 

TICKETING SERVICES

Help manage ticketing booths and assist with ticket scanning and enquiries. Onsite training will be provided. 

 

 

SITE CREW

Our Site Crew plays an integral role working closely with the Rockhampton Agricultural Show Team and competition areas to complete jobs throughout the event hours in a time efficient manner.

 

COMPETITION ASSISTANT

Support the smooth running of various competitions and events, ensuring participants have everything they need.

  • Cookery
  • Cake Decorating
  • Fine Arts
  • Woodchop
  • Horses
  • Poultry
